Single Stools

It is important to sit at the correct height when playing the piano, and to do this we really need an adjustable piano stool. It is so useful to be able to change the height when trying to develop different techniques. Sitting at the wrong height is not a good idea as it will retard progress and can be the cause of different parts of the body aching.
I have found over the years, buying a cheap piano stool can be false economy as so often they fall apart. Although a chair is not the perfect solution, it can be an alternative providing it is the correct height for that person playing.
These stools are designed for quality and durability and should give a lifetime of good service.

We can match the colour of your piano stool to your furniture if you can send a small sample. We can also cover the stool in your own material.

One of the advantages of these adjustable stools is that they have been designed so that you don’t see the adjustable mechanism when it is adjusted high.

These piano stools are very robust and the stools with braced legs offer even greater strength and durability. They are ideal for the professional heavy user. The big concert stools being the ultimate in robustness are designed to match big concert grand pianos. However because of their larger size, they can look little out of place with a small piano.

Some stools come with a box for storing sheet music. The stools may also have additional drawers for music storage. This can be ideal for people with no where to put their music, but it can be a disadvantage in so much as a lot of music in a duet box stool with drawers does make it heavy to move about. The alternative is to have a music storage cabinet.

The Duet Teacher stool is another useful stool and offers full independent height adjustment of each seat. This is Ideal for teacher and pupil or for duettists.
